Deploying WebObs™ requires system components and prerequisite software to be installed on the server(s) and administrator workstation(s).
System Requirements
WebObs™ R3 can be installed on one or more servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32-bit Edition. It is recommended to use Windows Server 2003 32-bit Edition with SP1 or R2.
WebObs™ R3 Management Tools can be installed on a workstation running Windows 2000 or later.
Software Prerequisites
WebObs™ R3 requires Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services.
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and/or Windows SharePoint Services can be used with WebObs™ but are not required.

WebObs™ R3 stores the collected data in a SQL Server database.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services
This server can be combined with the SQL Server instance mentioned above, or deployed on one or more dedicated machines. The data collected by WebObs™ R3 are displayed in the form of reports in RDL format, the native format of the SQL Server Reporting Services product.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services
WebObs™ R3 allows usage data to be collected for MOSS, SPS and/or WSS sites. The solution includes a component that tracks accesses to pages, documents and contents published in MOSS, SPS and WSS sites.
